I have three choices for an upcoming 6-day trip.

Golden Nugget will be about $80/night
Texas Station will be about $65/night
Santa Fe Station will be about $70/night

I am not going primarily for the "Vegas Experience" of gambling, shows, etc. I would actually prefer somewhat to be away from the gambling centers. I will have a car. I'm a little price-sensitive this trip. One thing that matters to me is a decent pool. It doesn't have to be like one of the fancy Strip pools, but I'd like something better than a random Days Inn experience.

What matters most to me is how the rooms themselves are appointed - nice beds, nice sheets, decent sink/shower/tub. I'll be staying with my girlfriend. Last trip we did the Expensive Buffet thing, but this time we'll be fine with something much cheaper - we don't need crepes and an omlette station for breakfast.

Will I regret going to one of the Station hotels compared to GN, and is there any difference between Texas Station and Santa Fe Station - both are equadistant from where I need mainly to be.

Sante Fe is in a better part of town, TS is in dumpy N. Las Vegas.

Trip Advisor says Golden Nugget, and I agree 100%.
